Yes, I have done it. You should also have the feeding changed/fixed at the same time. DRSS member Constant change is here to stay. | |||

yes...agreed except the feeding may be just fine and need no change at all. Actually, just have the 7 x 57 chamber long throated like the original factory and military 7 x 57s were, and then load your bullet to be seated magazine length....and you will have NO feeding problems.. as you overall cartridge length will be the same as the 270.... My 7 x 57 loads are exactly 80mm's long in my 3 different 7 x 57s....( 2 Rugers, and One Winchester Model 70) | |||
