270 to 7x57?
With a re-barrel, can I convert my 270 to a 7x57...using the same bolt?

Yes, I have done it. You should also have the feeding changed/fixed at the same time.

yes...agreed except the feeding may be just fine and need no change at all.

Consider the 280 Rem as well!

Actually, just have the 7 x 57 chamber long throated like the original factory and military 7 x 57s were, and then load your bullet to be seated magazine length....and you will have NO feeding problems.. as you overall cartridge length will be the same as the 270....

My 7 x 57 loads are exactly 80mm's long in my 3 different 7 x 57s....( 2 Rugers, and One Winchester Model 70)
