Has anyone converted a Rem 7600 in 308 to 300 wsm? How many rounds can you get in a 10 shot 308 mag?

The short mags have too much backthrust for the pump action on the 7600. I believe it is much too risky and you could get hurt. I remember a cousin that shot a handload from his 30-06, however it was not a max load but still blew out the bottom of the action. If you want more than the 308, look for a 30-06 or 35 Whelen.
