I don't own one, instead I have the Sarari Express. But if I had to do it again I may have chosen the Alaskan. It's a little lighter and slimmer. Overall nice rifle.

I've got one in .375. It weighs a count le Ounces less than one of my feather weights in 270 Win and A bit more than another. Maybe 8 1/4 lbs with a leupold 3.5-10. I don't know where the published weight comes from.
I find it to handle like a deer rifle, nothing like the Safari express that I have in .458 Lott. With the lighter weight I actually feel like carrying it even hunting where there's no earthly reason for a .375.

I have one of the newer ones in .30-06. I haven't shot it much, but I'm able to get 1" groups with factory Norma ammo. I imagine that could be improved upon with handloading.
