Guys, We all have our preferences. I've expressed mine and documented results. Simple solution, if your not comfortable or confident in the bullet/rifle you hunt with, whose fault is that. I have absolute confidence in my loads and rifles in which both A/B's and B/T's have their place. GWB

Agreed. BT's should never be used on a deer-sized animal where impact velocity is above 2600-2700 fps. This is only my opinion based on firsthand observation. But it is my opinion. The AccuBangs............well..........I really am at a loss to explain my limited experience with them. But first impressions are lasting impressions. Founder....the OTPG

I just went through my reloading bullets and while Hornady still is the greatest representative...(mostly red boxes) there is quite a few black boxes of accubonds.....one box of ballistic tips in .224 diameter, no boxes in green color, seven boxes of A-Frames, a box of Remington ultrabonded core-lokts, and a box of Northforks. Bonded bullets are taking over my buying and accubonds seem to be the winner. Only one of the Hornady boxes are interbonds and there is no Speer bullets here at all. I have no Nosler partitions or other bullets in stock.....they have a winner in the accubond! There will be more in the future but those Barnes folks have a way of getting my attention lately too! It's a great time for bullets.....lots of good ones out there! /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." I'm assuming the Swift Scirocco is unmentioned because of its cost? I've had much better luck with that bullet than any Hornady but only in terms of accuracy. By the way, I do not know if the Remington Accutip is available to reloaders but it seems like a decent bullet. I heard it was made by Hornady about 5 years ago. Don't know if that is true or not. What would be really cool now is if Barnes would use that blue coating on their TSX and TTSX. That Federal tipped trophy bonded bullet looks good too. I like the ABs. I get good accuracy with them and have killed some bears with them. Worked the same as the Scirocco. Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my guns

Vapodog, I am pretty much in line with you with a couple of exceptions. I do have a few "green boxes" for working up loads and for my 22s on varmints, as they are cheap and are probably the most accurate bullet out there for their cost. If a gun won't shoot a Sierra it probably won't shoot anything worth a damn. I won't use them on anything I want to find as they DO come apart also.(seen it) I also have Accubonds and Partitions although have not killed with the Accubonds yet. For a economical bonded bullet I like the performance of the good ole Remington Corelok. But they too must be kept at a moderate velocity and not all of MY guns like them. I don't have many copper front-end bullets. I can't get them to shoot well the couple of times I tried them. Also have a couple of buddies, one is a guide, who tell me they "sometimes" vear off course inside and come out someplace totally un-expected. But they always come out. I shot a big boar hog 2 years ago with a 140 gr. 277 cal. Failsafe. The big boar was dead instantly and fell dead vertically on his belly. Just folded his legs back but never fell over, or twitched or anything. I mean instantly dead. Bullet went clean through front right shoulder and exited behind left shoulder while just clipping the left shoulder meat. Most of my boxes are red also, but I am starting to lean towards the Accubonds as they seem to shoot well in all rifles they were used and I prefer a bonded bullet with what I have seen with the BTs and and "green" box bullets.
