I thought I had this problem whipped last fall but not so. I am also having problems with neck tension and the TSX. I am going to South Africa in May. I am using Redding Dies and Laupa brass. My bullets would seat but creep out of the case a few 100's. They are not loose and I cannot turn them with my finger. I am using a charge of 62 gr of R15 which gives me around 2500+ out of my 21 inch barrel. I started using a drop tube which got the powder at the base of the neck. It worked for me then but last night I loaded 25 and had the same thing happen again. I have had no problems with the 250 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip. Anyhow, I read this thread: https://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3221043/m/874103728
and called Redding. They suggested polishing my expander button a 1000 or so and see if that would make it hold the bullet. Before I did that I asked about resizing the brass without the expander button. He said it might work so I tried it. Resized inner diameter brass measures .362 and without using the expander button it measures .3585. I loaded up five and so far it is holding. As a backup I ordered 2 boxes of 250 gr Swift A-frames today.

I show a max load of 58.5 grs of RL15...taking out some of that powder may fix the problem and the game you shoot won't know the difference.

RAC,

I started the above mentioned thread. I believe that Barnes has some design flaws that need to be worked on. I think that their 'friction reducing grooves' need to be a little narrower as they currently seem to reduce the hold in the shell neck very effectively too. There are a lot of people having bullet tension problems that appear to only be associated with the TSX's. You lucked out in that your die without the expander further reduced the neck size to suffeciently hold the bullets; mine did not and a tighter necked sizing die is on the way for me from Redding.

I am curious. How deep are you seating your bullets? I just started loading the TSX bullets in my 9.3X62 and I am seating them out to 3.291 overall length but I haven't shot them for accuracy yet. That length seems to work okay in my CZ.

On most any heavy recoiling caliber I take about .003 or .004 off the expander plug, then use a powder that fills the case to half way up the neck or there abouts, in your case RL-15 is a good choice...then add a very light crimp..works for me..I got 2800 FPS with a 230 gr. GS Customs HP..and 2700 with the 250 gr. Barnes X in my 26" tube...The 9.3x62 really benifits from a long barrel and a long throat and magazine btw...
