also I like the JC Higgins. Will be cheaper by far in the long run as new rifles in that price range are cheap disposable pieces of crap IMHO | |||

KEEP THE 375 plus 1.) find a used 30-06/270/7mm-08/whatever and use that as your primary hunting rifle or 2.) pick up a used/new Marlin 336 in 30-30, fill same with leverrevolution ammo. That will give you a 200 yd rifle. For east coast whitetails that little honey will work just fine. If you get a yen for Elk/moose/bear just use your 375. TerryR | |||

if money is a little tight right now for you, attend a few local gunshows. you will find numerous 30-06s and 270 winchesters. pick a ruger 77 mk2, rem 700 adl or bdl, a savage with a real walnut stock (or plastic if you like), and you will be set for anything you might hunt. keep the 375 just in case you go to africa. | |||
