Crap. Something seems to have goofed up with it when I loaded it to Photobucket (the video stops and loops again while the audio continues normally)...

Will play with the format and try again tomorrow.

Fixed, I think.

Thanks Canuck. In this video I am shooting a Remington model 700 VLS, with a 30 inch Palma Krieger barrel, chambered for the 308 win.As you can see it is taking me some time between shots. That's because I am shooting for bullseye at 200yds with a triiger that is heavier than any of those on my hunting rifles. Now that I got my Lott,I look forward to making a similar video with that.

You answered my question! I was just going to ask how long the barrel is as it looks bloody long!

Now, what did the target look like?

Ummm, fascinating video but really, I'd like to see the target. Anyone can stand there and fire off a few rounds, am I supposed to be impressed? It isn't the length of the barrel you know, its how you use it. Unless there are compensation issues of course.

I'd like to see the video of the .458 thank you.

Until then, I've seen this a thousand times at the range. (where is that yawning emoticon now...)

I must have thrown the target away.I just thought it was a good idea to video myself shooting and then again on a later date to see if there is any progress in my techinique. So,enjoy this ARTISTIC showing of shooting the rifle offhand.

The intro with the rifle setting there alone then the shooter walking into the scene and picking up the rifle was very "dramatic".
Maybe add some AC/DC music.

Wonder how many rounds he'll get out of that barrel before it's burned out...... 6 or 8, perhaps??

that was a fine piece of art. And the technique, although not flawless, was very impressive. I'll assume that the bullets all went through the same hole?

I still think the helmet would have made this into a masterpiece. Truly.

I wonder if shooting in the cold like that makes barrels wear out faster or slower? I know steel gets soft when it is heated so maybe shooting in the snow decreases wear.

Perhaps someone could prove this point...
