That gun is a dead ringer for the .275 Bore Henry Atkin rifle I recently sold..boy those old low comb rifle feel and handle well and even with a scope on them... Mr. Mauser really knew his stuff, the old military bottom metal is about as good as it gets, you never hear that "ping" and your bullets falling on the African turf with that battle magazine. Guess we'll never really know just how many elepahnt Bell bagged with a "275 Rigby Mauser". But it seems from the evidence the little guns will kill them, from the looks of that picture of Harry Selby's daughter & her elephant..... "Bitte, trinks du nicht das Wasser. Dahin haben die Kuhen gesheissen."

Those were all the pictures I could find on the net of the Bell rifle. I hope the person that has it will take some more. I understand Bell had at least 6 of the 275's made by Rigby, and this is the only one existing. Any pictures of the 400-450?

Does anyone know where Corbetts rifle is? This would round out the batch nicely.
