| With proper bedding and inletting, cross bolts are not needed until you get into the 458 class. But they still look cool. |

| I now have two 9.3x62mm rifles, but the rules won't let me vote twice! One, a CZ 550, has double cross bolts. The other, a Steyr-Mannlicher SBS 96, does not. FWIW, I agree with 500grains that cross bolts aren't needed for this caliber, and I also agree with him that they still look cool.

My CZ550 FS has two. I don't know if they are needed or not, but they do look cool! |

| I sold my 9.3 x 62 with two cross bolts to mrlexma because he thought they looked cool. My stretch model 9.3 x 62 (a 9.3 x 66 Sako) does not have cross bolts. My under construction 9.3 x 62 won't have cross bolts, but it will have a drop box magazine (the better to cull with). LD |

| Mine is a factory CZ, has two crossbolts. They may not be needed, but I would have them if I were building a rifle, as they certainly don't hurt a thing.

LD isn't kidding and it's a 0.5 MOA rifle. And the cross bolts do look cool, but contrary to what Fernando used to say, it's more important to shoot marvelous than to look marvelous.

| I have a 9.3x62 Husky that I restocked - no cross bolts but...... I think they look cool too. I didn't know how to install them so I glass bedded it and inlayed fake crossbolts in wood matching the tip & cap.

| Custom Ruger, properly bedded, no cross bolts. Done nicely they can be attractive and in a say 416, next project, probably a good idea. |

| Neither of my 9,3x62's have them. A Dakota 96, or my Pre-64 Custom. IMHO sometimes they look right and sometimes they interrupt the flow of nice wood. It just depends.....................DJ

| No X-Bolts, modified B&C synthetic for a L/H Zastava action. Works & shoots like a charm! I guess I could glue a coupla bolts heads into each side of the stock in the action area to get the desired "cool" effect if it's decided we all need X-Bolts on a 9.3x62.....
Cheers,
