Sure y'all will catch me up on this, but...

Recent news then retracted offering by Ruger of .300 H&H in 77 model (Hawkeye?) got me to thinking. If the longer action would wind up competing with the .375 Ruger offerings, what would a necked DOWN version be -- is it already in existence as a wildcat of some sort?

Sure wish the news would have stayed true -- Hornady brass and loads in .300 H&H in good supply is a nice thought.

look - its REALLY simple -- the 375 ruger case is about the same capacity as an ackley improved HH case .. a 375 ruger is rEALLY close to a 375 ai/webby .. a 300/375 ruger would be about a 300HH ai.. or 300 webby

opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club

So there'd be nothing to offer, say, against sticking to .300 Win Mag? No belt, though, if that would be attractive. I've never thought much along the wildcat lines and just chasing a wild hare there...

The RCM is a shortened necked down ( obviously) 375 Ruger case . Not the same as the 375 Ruger necked down ..
. If one was going with a 30 cal , Why wildcat ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? If the EARTH doesn,t have enough factory 30 caliber cartridges I don,t know what would .... How many are there 25 or 30 different 30 cal factory rounds , maybe more . The other close one would be the 300 Dakota ..

.If it can,t be grown , its gotta be mined ....
