vapodogHornady is concentrating on nitch rounds....not the high volume stuff
I doubt they ever expected the .17 HMR to take off as it did.
Other than that they are making the popular but rarely used cartridges.
Look for the 404 Jeffery too.
Personally I think Hornady should make a great bonded bullet for that Lapua round.....I'm not sure their standard interlock is up to the velocities.

lawndartI'm guessing that this is a piggy-back onto their TAP ammunition line which is proving to be very popular over in the ashtray.
Most of the special ops units have anywhere from a few to several 338 Lapua rifles in their arms room. Much more practical to hump around than a 50 BMG, and precise enough for first shot hits on humans out to 1,200 meters (given decent wind doping and range measurement of course)
Hornady makes very good HPBT bullets. I prefer them over Sierra. The accuracy is about the same, but the Hornady bullets just look more precisely made.

jro45I shoot Hornady 338 bullets. The Lapua 338 bullets are a lot more money. Is Hornady going to carry them? For my hunting bullet I use Nosler bullets.
