Accubonds. Tougher than BT more accurate that most anything else.
But I cant stand BTs at game, after seeing the results time and time again. Thank goodness when i want a great big hole i just use a .458 or bigger.

I am still bummed out that Nosler quit making the 225 gn .358 BT's. I think they decided it was too much of a good thing.

A few years back I did some torture tests with several bullets from an 8X57. Long story short the BT's held together impressivley well and made MASSIVE mushrooms. Much larger than any other bullets I tested. I have been using 115 gn Bt's from a 257 AI @ almost 3000 fps with pretty good success on Muleys, (by the way, nice Muley JG! Thats a beauty!).. BUT.. I too have seen a lot of bloodshot meat. Too much really. If I can get them to shoot I am going back to 120 gn cup an cores for that rifle. I also think that the bigger caliber BT's have tougher jackets.

That Speedgoat is a mess! Makes me think twice about the 260 Rem SST loads I have.. I have very little doubt that SST's arent as tough as BT's.

I can ony speak to two BTs, the 165 in a 30-06 and 150s in a 7x57 and a 280. THe 165s work well past 50-60 yds. I'm not sure any bullet that will perform well at 300yds won't be devistating at under 50. I have noticed that there is very little difference on deer up to 300lds (red hind.) and pigs using the 150PTs and 150BTs at all ranges, up to 300yds. capt david
