I know this forum is more about hunting rigs but figured I'd ask anyway.

Anyone have any input on the quality of the Saiga AK pattern rifles, I have an opportunity to buy one cheap (guy is desperate for money). Just looking for some input before wasting any money.

I think they are at their best converted to look like an AK. They are very good AKs, if you like AKs.

I had one in .223, it was a neat little gun for the couple hundred I gave for it. It would outshoot a mini 14 (not saying much) but had better accuracy than most ak's and sks' I've shot.
