Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

RedlanderThese will probably be very long for their weight. However, I guess many bullet manufacturers are getting ready for the eventual restrictions on lead based bullets - brought to us all by the great Unitied Socialist State of Kalifornia (USSK).
If you are going to carry a big stick, you've got to whack someone with it at least every once in while.

I'm thinking the same thing - what the heck does a cannelure do for a bullet?
Look good to me as well...

SempreElkOk based on the premise that the original X bullets weren't as accurate without the 3 grooves why didn't Nosler incorporate that in their design

JarrodWIll probably be a great bullet as all other nosler bullets I have shot and hunted with.

surestrikeLooks like a fine bullet. it also looks as though it will be a copper fouling S.O.B. just like the the old Barnes X.
The TSX really helped the fouling problem.

boom stickIT WONT BE PURE COPPER...
21 April 2007, 18:05
jro45Is that new bullet by Nosler all copper? If it is thats another bullet I'll not shoot. I don't shoot Barnes either.

HondoLaneMan, these bullet wars give me a headache. If we listen to the collective bashing the bullet manufacturers inflict on eachother one might come to the conclusion that all game animals are safe because nobody makes a bullet worth a darn. IMO, just choose a sensible bullet for the game at hand and shoot it. I don't care who manufactures it. Negative ads by bullet makers remind me of political campaigns... I tire of both quickly.
J.B on 24 hr campfire said he got some 180 gn /30 calE Tips from nosler the other day....he said they were very long for there weight, about as long as a conventional 200 gn proj
pity they did not put bands on these proj
i also spoke to one of the guys at nosler and he said from the testing they have done with these proj so far they are getting an increase in pressure from 0-5000 psi depending on bullet and cal...

RedlanderEven though this bullet may have some warts on it, I'm sure that we'll sure see numerous articles in the gun rags fawning over the "impressive new bullet from Nosler." Just like the writers spewed forth "great things" about Winchester's XP3 that replaced the Failsafe. If these writers would be honest in their reporting these bullets would get better, quicker.
