Basically all I shoot in my 300 RUM is 150 and 165gr ballistic tips. I use reloader 22 with the 150's With a little tweaking it will put either in the same hole. Most of my loads are at or very near max. Of course all I shoot with them around here are deer. I've never had to trail one with it provided I put the bullet in the right spot.
