| I would tell him to get one box of as many different loads that he can find. Do a test to see which factory loads shoot the best. I would want to use 139 gr and up for deer in the 7-08.

| I had the best accuracy from Federal 140 gr. Nosler Solid Base. Worked fine for whitetail this year. I have had good accuracy from Federal Fusion ammo in my '06 and now they are making a 140 grain load for the 7-08 which might be worth a try. |

| I have good luck with the Speer Nitrex 145 gr. grand slam ammo out of a Rem 700 22" barrel.
