 | Mag Hunter, You will love her and hope she shoots as well as mine. I picked up mine a year ago at the spring Tulsa gun show. I had been wanting one for my first trip to SA for PG. Went there to look for one and on the last day I found her on one of the last rows. She's a custom job built on a pre-war 70 action. She came with EAW mounts and Swaro 6X. Got her home and fed her some handloads with 180 gr TSX. After five shots I thought I had bought a lemon, I could only see two holes in target. On further review four where in same hole. I almost cried (LOL). Can't wait for her to see Africa in my arms. Good luck with you NEW BABY hope you were as lucky as I was. JC |

Since when are rifle's feminine? I used to be into hi-fi 2 watt triode amps and these tube amps sounded so sweet and blissful they were worthy girls but a rifle? |

 | If it were mine I would scope it with a new Leupold VXII 3X9X40 in matte finish. If you want a true classic, maybe an older B&L 2.5X8 with adjustable mounts. Great caliber; save some money and go to Africa on a plains game hunt, or maybe NZ for Stag and Tahr, or maybe the west for mule deer!

 | I am actually looking at going on my third safari. I bought it to complement my M-70 in .375 H&H. Sort of the pair thing. Who's got brass? |

 | I picked up a mint Winchester pre64 M-70 Supergrade in 300H&H a couple years ago. I put a matte 3.5-10x40mm Leupold Vari-X 3 on mine, in Talley Mounts. It really wants to be a varmit rifle, as it will put five 200 grain Nosler Partitions into one ragged hole. |

 | What you MUST do with it is, take a picture and post it ! Man ! Then we all know what we are talking about. What you gonna hunt with it ? Remember old John nosler himself was using a 300 H&H on moose when he got the idea for the partition. Its a great round, I have found the tapperd cases are great for accuracy. all the X57 mauser offspring have shot well for me. Good luck with your ultra cool new rifle...tj3006
