Sure, you could have the stock refinished and still be under it's value.

I would have to agree with what Biebs said, great action alone as long as it wasn't the less desirable Sako Jim Kobe 10841 Oxborough Ave So Bloomington MN 55437 952.884.6031 Professional member American Custom Gunmakers Guild

Id say absolutly and I wouldn't even bother to refinish the stock, just hunt with it..FN or Mauser, hard to beat...Until recently anything with Browning on it was as good as it gets..John Browning was a brilliant man that left a legacy, like no other.. Take it out of the stock first to inspect the condition of the metal. Many Browning Safaris suffered from wood which was cured by burying it in salt; the salt-saturated wood was very corrosive and could badly rust the metal exposed to it.

most of the salt wood browning center fire rifles were sako actions, but I would take the action out of the stock anyway. No matter where you go or what you do there you are! Yes tis true and tis pity but pity tis, tis true.

or one of the swivels!! if fact you can usually see sighns of salt wood on an old gun peeking out around the wood to metal line. Ray Atkinson Atkinson Hunting Adventures 10 Ward Lane, Filer, Idaho, 83328 208-731-4120 rayatkinsonhunting@gmail.com
