Has anyone ever installed open sights on a newer M70 featherweight stock profile (thin) barrel? If you could post a picture that would be great. | ||

My pre 64 has irons and scope with talley QD rings and a 2x7x28 Leupold...I lowered the comb a tad to suit my build. Any smith can do that in a heart beat..I would not own a hunting rifle without irons. I always like that post 64 fwt with the schnable forend and it came iwth iron sights..I don't recommend irons with that plastic stock, you don't want to rasp down that comb!! Its a snape to mount a set of irons on that gun however..might need to go wood however.. Damn stinking plastic gun stocks!
