There were a few custom (or bespoke as we call them) bolt action rifles made in this calibre about ten years ago.
They were fairly well written up in one of the British shooting magazines.

It is. My ever so close 7mm X 41mm designed in 1959 and finally built in 1982 is ever so close to it. Great little cartridge.Still have the reamer if you're interested.

enfieldsparesI would not bother at all with the 280 but go to the factory available 6.8mm Remington SPC. It will do absolutely everything that the 280 will do!
