You can post any half assed pic in any half assed catalog made in NEW YORK CITY by some peckerlip, no common sensed, good for nothing, metrosexual, but that dont that don't have anything to do with how my 300RUM ammo is built. And if you think it does, get the fuck outta here and move back to your stuck up ass homeland such ass europe or hillary clintons cuntpad, cause real Americans (such as the people who built this awesome country....ei ..your fathers) don't have time for your horseshit.

Just a suggestion here, but you might want to get a refill on that Lithium prescription... Eeker

The whole idea behind this post wasn't a Remington vs. Winchester thing. It was Remington messed up in front of the world and now they have to take a "ribbing" for it. It doesn't matter if that rifle is Winchester or a Ruger or a Savage, it isn't a Remington and it is in a Remington marketing catalog.

Just like when Great American Gunstocks (I think it was GAG) had the picture of one of their gunstocks on a rifle with the scope on the rifle mounted backwards...

Look at page 7, Buckhammer Slugs.

They state their slugs "consistently retain 100% weight at impact". Well gee, I hope they have 100% weight when they impact what I'm shooting.

Just another mistake from a firearms company when they should know better.

Sorry about that guys... I overdosed on my Jim Beam prescription and went on a rant-fest. Let's all just have a nice day. Razzer

I suspect that like Rick0311 he had a choice. Apologize or get banned.

As a matter of fact the language used was nearly the same.

They did change it. Still haven't changed the text about the slugs on page 7 though. That still cracks me up. 100% weight retention on impact.

I think it's like the old seafaring quote: "...any port in a storm...". Metrosexual like doubles your chances of scoring on Saturday night.

A metrosexual is a straight dude who acts like a gay dude (primping, preeening, crying, etc.) They make me angry because they have a tendency to accentuate how 'normal' men act like assholes towards women. Kind of makes you mad when you're at the bar and all the girls are hovering around some guy talking their ear off about the hair products he uses on a daily basis...

Back to the topic, it sure looks an awful lot like an M70, but there's something about the bolt handle that doesn't seem quite right. The dog-leg shape doesn't look the same, but the rest is sure close.

They would do well to read this forum more often.....last year we enumerated several blatant errors.....they were never corrected!

stillbeeman,

Lucky #13 post?

Do you consider, at all, buying or not buying based on print or A/V advertising? The point people here are trying to make is; if they are careless and/or stupid in print, what makes you think the rest of the company is any better. "...stupid is as stupid does...". That catalog is an expensive expression of how Remington wants to be perceived by the buying public.

Welcome to the AR forum, you have established yourself solidly in a special niche here with your choice of words...

regards,

Rich

Clayman,

A metrosexual is NOT a "straight man who acts like a gay man."

A metrosexual is a homosexual who is still in the closet.

Actually Idaho, I've been here a long time, probably longer than you. In the last upheavel, I had to daddo around to get in. I am originally "beemanbeme".
What the folks are proving is they are a bunch of Rem bashers that will grasp at any straw. And they have too much time on their hands. And for you to try to imply that the error will have some sort of calamitous effect on Remington's sales is pretty far fetched.

Are you the "niche" monitor?? I'm sure you know where the ignore button is.

Just on the odd chance you are correct and they are reading this forum and paying attention, I'll ask why they are not offering the M798 chambered in 7X57 - then when they do I'll buy one - or two - or three........
I WANT ONE IN 7X57!!!!!

Lord, give me patience 'cuz if you give me strength I'll need bail money!!

actually, I don't really care if you used to be Bee-Bop-A-Lulu...

Your poor choice of language is the telling point of your post; along with your approach. Like the TV ads, "...people judge you by the way you speak, by the words you use...". As Mark Twain is quoted as saying "...gratuitious profanity is the sign of a feeble intellect and extreme mental laziness...". Unthinking, unwarranted profanity is usually a hallmark of either Jr High students who are just learning the phraseology but haven't yet mastered the context and appropriate usage; or lower class, bottom feeders who think they may impress somebody by their erudite command of the english language.
The rest of the posters are having a gentle joke, at Remington's expense. Sorry you missed the joke.
As far as the ignore button, try using it on the thread...it's obviously not your level of humor.

regards,

Rich
