Getting ready to break out the ol air brush and do some paint jobs on the rifle stocks, and wondering of anyone has some camo'd guns they'd like to show off here.
Figured maybe I could get some ideas from them on how to do a couple of them.
I have a few now and know well how to go about it, but just looking for pattern ideas.

ANYONE?

No way am I gonna own a camo rifle. I leaned a wood and blue rifle against a tree while I walked a short distance away to take a dump and had to hunt almost two hours to find the rifle. Frowner

I have two. This first one is a Win 70 in .25-06. Factory tupperware.

The next one will take me a bit to post as I don't have a pic of it but it's leaning by the door. I'll update this post.

This is my paint job with a rattle can. Base is flat desert tan, the I laid pieces of real veg over it and sprayed the OD. The light colored flat base allows the relief look. It is easy for a rattle can. With an air brush you may be able to do some really cool stuff.

Not really camo,
but.....

Remington 700 KS before

I decided to do a rattlecan finish on the KS. Used some Krylon ultra flat tan camo for the base coat, and some black and gold webbing spray for accent.

Remington 700 KS after

and along the same lines, here is an LVSF stock that painted last week and I added a new limbsaver pad to............

I've about decided next one I do will be olive drab camo with black webbing, something along this line

Anyway, just use your imagination, plan your work and work your plan. If a no talent old fart like me can do it, anyone can.

Best

I don't know if this would count as camo, but I just love the look of Todd Williams' in this post:

I don't have a rifle with a plastic stock, yet, nor a beat up wood one, but it is something I would like to try my hand at.

Lou, I'm sure Kelly at Match Grade Arms would spray any stock in his camo patterns for a reasonable price. Most shops are $150-$175.

Would using Krylon matte clear make it a more durable finish?

Dr. Lou,
After the base coats (3) and the webbing spray, I add at least three coats of RustOleum Ultra 2X Matte clear coat as a sealer. Yes it makes it much more durable.
