Hi all I am seeking some information on old German caliber´s, and hope some know something about the 9.3*65R? Maybe some have a gun in it, use it for hunting? All information is good for me. Cheers all Vegard_dino

I do believe you have a rimmed 9.3x64 Brenneke.

Here is a scan of a small brochure I received from the Brenneke a couple of years ago. It may be of some interest. Check the third page for your cartridge.

Another possibility if it is an older (pre-WWII) rifle is that it may be a 9,3x65R Collath. Collath and Teschner/Collath made all sorts of rifles, shotguns and combination guns, often built with the rather odd Collath slide-and-drop barrel system and frequently chambered for their own proprietary cartridges. The 9,3x65R Collath is one of the more common of the Collath rounds..

Thanks all for replying and helping me out. Well, I do not , yet, have a rifle in the caliber. But like to, one day. Thank you for the link with Harald Wolf. Some great guns he makes! Cheers all Vegard_dino

I would tend to agree here, but would have to see the cartridge or a chamber casting..... "Bitte, trinks du nicht das Wasser. Dahin haben die Kuhen gesheissen."
