Interesting find in a LGS. Winchester manlicher stocked rifle, .270 1968. In good nick shoots well. Taken a couple of hogs with it already. Cant find much info on them only around 500 made. Heres some pics, cheers Mick
Nice shot Is that the entrance or the exit ? Right in the ear ! You could run a .270 ear to ear on my former mother in law and she would still be naggin ! ...tj3006

Don't think I'd ever heard Winchester made such a thing, so it sounds like a very collectable rifle. Is it hand-chequered or had Winchester got past the waffle iron by 1968?

I see them advertised from time to time for $1500 and up. I have seen 06 and 270 but believe they were also made in 308. A pretty heavy gun if I remember correctly.

You've resurrected the Mannlicher "virus" in me. It's as deadly as Ebola, but the outcome is much to be preferred...
I've been scheming what to do with this lovely early post-war Yugo commercial action I've had sitting on my desk for about a year now.
KDA55 had a Canjar single set for a Mauser in the classifieds I bought two weeks ago. It's got a spoonbill handle, the bluing is perfect, and it has this really neat side swing floor plate release lever.
What to build? I think a "Mountain Rifle", with a short barrel? 358 Win?
A 21" fast handling full-stock 30-06 sounded too good to pass, so I picked up a Western Field 30-06 Mauser style Mannlicher, built by Heym. It too has the butter-knife bolt and side swing floor plate release Rich mentioned. It may make my 30-06 7600 Carbine a little underutilized.
