Could a 7.82 Warbird be rechambered in a Weatherby Vanguard that is originally chambered in 300 weatherby.

I found this drawing, http://weaponland.ru/board/pat...8_warbird/43-1-0-338 It looks like the Weatherby case is slightly longer, 0.6 mm. The rounded shoulder to neck may not clean up. With the Warbird every time you pull the trigger throw a dollar in the kitty for a new barrel. Mark.

So we built a warbird in Australia, and to say the least it was terrible. The brass is shit, if you get 2 or 3 reloads out of it that is all you get. The barrel was completely ruined at 500 rounds. We built it on a Barnard 338 Lapua action and used a Bernie Madco barrel. The barrel, action and stock weighed 27 pounds, and we couldn't keep it together. I know folks that have built 338 Lapua cartridges on a Howa action. I wouldn't do it nor would I recommend it. You want more than a 300 Weatherby will do, build a 300 Ultra.
