kmg30007.82 warbird
Could a 7.82 Warbird be rechambered in a Weatherby Vanguard that is originally chambered in 300 weatherby.

Mark ClarkI found this drawing,
http://weaponland.ru/board/pat...8_warbird/43-1-0-338It looks like the Weatherby case is slightly longer, 0.6 mm. The rounded shoulder to neck may not clean up.
With the Warbird every time you pull the trigger throw a dollar in the kitty for a new barrel.
Mark.

Big Wonderful WyomingSo we built a warbird in Australia, and to say the least it was terrible.
The brass is shit, if you get 2 or 3 reloads out of it that is all you get.
The barrel was completely ruined at 500 rounds. We built it on a Barnard 338 Lapua action and used a Bernie Madco barrel. The barrel, action and stock weighed 27 pounds, and we couldn't keep it together.
I know folks that have built 338 Lapua cartridges on a Howa action. I wouldn't do it nor would I recommend it.
You want more than a 300 Weatherby will do, build a 300 Ultra.
