Sold my only 06 last fall. It was wearing a 3x9x40 Bushnell Trophy that I should have kept.

My '06 is an ultralight arms model 24, it wears a leuopold vari-x III 2.5x8 which to me is just about perfect for that rifle.

Lyman Alaskan on one, and Weaver K2.5 on the other. Both in G&H QD sidemounts, both Mauser sporters of pre-war style. Scopes/mounts carried in shoulder-slung leather tubes and only installed when the aperture sights aren't enough.
