Ahhh Gryph... you bring up old and painful memories of when us Ozzie's couldn't own a rifle in a 'military chambering' - 303 had to be converted to 7.7x54 - 303, 30-06, 8mm Mauser were out of the question!! ******************************** A gun is a tool. A moron is a moron. A moron with a hammer who busts something is still just a moron, it's not a hammer problem. Daniel77

I wonder if I could clip out that order form and order 3 of each. ____________________________________________ "Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." Terry Pratchett.

Somewhere around here Ive got a 70's circa Utah proclimation. If I remember right it was something like 7.00 for a statewide deer permit. That was when public grounds were as good as todays private grounds. My how the times have changed..

I remember those ads well also. Kleins is also the mail order place Lee Harvey Oswald purchased the Italian rifle and scope years later that he shot Kennedy with. I don't imagine they really needed that publicity. ****************************** "We do not exaggerate when we state positively that the remodelled Springfield is the best and most suitable "all 'round" rifle".......Seymour Griffin, GRIFFIN & HOWE, Inc.

Yeah, and there wasn't a two year wait for a Mulie buck or Antelope tag... And isn't a Utah Elk bull permit now a once in a lifetime thing? or was that just a moose tag? I know, kinda like rubbing salt in the wounds? I'll stop now... AllanD If I provoke you into thinking then I've done my good deed for the day! Those who manage to provoke themselves into other activities have only themselves to blame. *We Band of 45-70er's* 35 year Life Member of the NRA NRA Life Member since 1984
