rugeruserAhhh Gryph... you bring up old and painful memories of when us Ozzie's couldn't own a rifle in a 'military chambering' - 303 had to be converted to 7.7x54 - 303, 30-06, 8mm Mauser were out of the question!!

WstrnhuntrSomewhere around here Ive got a 70's circa Utah proclimation. If I remember right it was something like 7.00 for a statewide deer permit. That was when public grounds were as good as todays private grounds. My how the times have changed..

IdaredI remember those ads well also. Kleins is also the mail order place Lee Harvey Oswald purchased the Italian rifle and scope years later that he shot Kennedy with. I don't imagine they really needed that publicity.

Yeah, and there wasn't a two year wait for a Mulie buck or Antelope tag...
And isn't a Utah Elk bull permit now a once in a lifetime thing? or was that just a moose tag?
I know, kinda like rubbing salt in the wounds? I'll stop now...

If I provoke you into thinking then I've done my good deed for the day!
