| I've seen several at the range, so I think it must be available at least as an option. Was the receiver stainless as well, if not then maybe something is amiss.....otherwise I think you probably have a factory gun there--the barrel would be marked also--just check that??

| They offered the full stainless (receiver an d barrel) from '95 through '04. There were a few variations including fluted barrels, carbine models, fiberglass stocks vs. the standard tupperware stock. I have one in .340 from the first year of production and it has been a great rifle. Also very, very accurate for a factory rifle. I think the only reason that Weatherby would cut them is that the sales volume wasn't holding up. |

| I don't know if they made the Fibermark in stainless, but the Accumark has a stainless barrel and fiberglass stock, and the stainless synthetic has a cheap injection molded stock.

| I had a Mark V Alaskan. The action was nickeled, but the barrel was stainless. Weatherby did a good job of matching the nickel to the stainless, but at least at that time, did not make any of their actions from Stainless. |
