makeminestainlessWeatherby Mark V - No stainless?!?!
Saw a used stainless fibermark (300 WTBY) at a gun show and went to look it up on their site. I don't see any full stainless Mark V models. The Accumark still has a stainless barrel. Was something wrong with them?

Fish30114I've seen several at the range, so I think it must be available at least as an option. Was the receiver stainless as well, if not then maybe something is amiss.....otherwise I think you probably have a factory gun there--the barrel would be marked also--just check that??
Good Luck--Don

DavidReedThey offered the full stainless (receiver an d barrel) from '95 through '04. There were a few variations including fluted barrels, carbine models, fiberglass stocks vs. the standard tupperware stock. I have one in .340 from the first year of production and it has been a great rifle. Also very, very accurate for a factory rifle. I think the only reason that Weatherby would cut them is that the sales volume wasn't holding up.

Dr. LouI don't know if they made the Fibermark in stainless, but the Accumark has a stainless barrel and fiberglass stock, and the stainless synthetic has a cheap injection molded stock.

DPhillipsI had a Mark V Alaskan. The action was nickeled, but the barrel was stainless. Weatherby did a good job of matching the nickel to the stainless, but at least at that time, did not make any of their actions from Stainless.
