For those who were complaining that they could not find any factory .358 Winchester factory ammo, Buffalo Bore has just completed a run of reasonably priced ammo loaded with 225-grain Sierra Gamekings @ 2500 fps. According to Ammoseek, these are available for as little as $32.89 per box, plus shipping. For you handloaders, the 225-grain Gamekings are available again at many different outlets, as well as 220-grain Speer Hot Cors. All this just in time for deer season -- oh, wait!. Make that just in time for the 2015 deer season!

Wow! Perfect bullets in that caliber! However I doubt they will get 2500 fps unless they use a 26 inch or longer barrel! "When the wind stops....start rowing. When the wind starts, get the sail up quick."

Nevermind -- it GONE! However, Buffalo Bore still lists it as available from their site for $41 a box (about $6 more than the retailers).

Jeff, you must have a long-barreled .358 Win. if you are getting 2500 fps with the 225-grain Game Kings. I get right at 2400 fps (19" barrel) with 52-grains of 748, and that load is a little too stout for my little Model 600. I've since backed off to 51 grains and am getting just a shade under 2400.
