I have one. BUY IT! Barrel is said to be 52 cm, slightly more than 20". Recoil is extremely light, sometimes I think lesser than a .30-06, Win 70 with classic stock. I think the recoil pad CZ uses is just fine.
I dont like the hogback stock for looks, but the sights and scope line up nicely and the recoil is mild, so what?
Try Lapua. The 286 grs Mega is rather blunt, so not much good over 225 . But the groups I get!!!
Have fun, Hermann
P.S.: before anything else: if you are not totally satisfied with the trigger, try only the travel screw, which regulates travel before letoff! I like this fully adjustable trigger more than the gunsmith tuned on my Win 70! And if ever the bolt doesnt stay cocked on closing, its just the turn of a screw...

I have a 9.3 cz lux and it's barrel is 23 1/2" You won't lose much and you will have a sweet rifle. I would like a FS to add to my collection but there not available in Oz. I had to settle with what they wanted to order in for me...but I like my lux all the same.

I have a CZ 9.3x62 FS that I'm quite happy with. If I remember correctly, I get over 2300 f.p.s. with 300 grain Swift A-Frames. Groups are just over an inch.
