Agreed. I wish I had them all back. I hate selling them for that reason. The only ones I don't regret losing are the ones I gave away as gifts to friends and relatives.

Have to agree with that one. Back in my young poor days I would have to sell one toy to make $$ for the next so the darn list is way longer than I care to think about.

Omega. Koon Texas Magnum. Nikko golden eagle. BSA Majestic (damn damn damn) |

| Money got really tight a few years ago. I was forced by circumstances to sell a William Evans Double Rifle made in 1893 and chambered for 450/400 3 1/4 nitro express. It had the original wood and leather case, dies, brass and over 50 loaded rounds. I'll never be able to replace it. |

| ruger#1 in .243 about 15 yrs ago... it had some exhibition grade bastogne on it. i didn't much care for the chambering but i sure can't afford to get a #1 now, anymore.... markX in roberts with i think, a herters stock.... one of the all time nicest shooting guns i've ever had....don't remember what in the world propted me to get rid of it..... markX in 7mag....as much as i like the 7's, it would be nice to have yet. sold it to my B-I-L for a song. a short while after, my sister and he divorced and he sold it to a buddy of his for better than twice what he paid me....live and learn....sucks to be young and dumb. my little venezualen in 6.5x55.,mannlicher stocked, shot about 1-1/2" no matter what i fed it. sold to a good hunting buddy for his daughter's first deer rifle...at least it went to a good cause...... i have a new rule, now..... once i own it, they can do whatever they want with it when i'm not suckin' air anymore. |

| The stupidest thing I ever sold was an original M1 Carbine folder, c/w original canvas leg pouch. I'll never forgive myself for that one.
What made it especially wrong was that is was a bring-back by a Canadian paratrooper, who picked it up from an already deceased American when they all jumped together on the day the Allies crossed the Rhine. The Canadian tossed his Sten (which he said he knew damn well would get him killed) and picked up the M1 from an American who didn't make it to the ground alive. In hindsight, I probably could have tracked it back to the family of the man that it was issued to, and that's what I regret most.
Mea Culpa. That was more than 40 years ago, and I was too young and stupid to know better. |

| Basically, I've only ever sold guns that just sucked to use.......... an 835 Mossberg (like swinging a deckpost), a Savage 99C (action worked as smooth as tank tracks), a 700 ADL .270 (just a turd to use with cold hands). But I did trade off a Model 70 Lightweight Carbine (post '64 pushfeed) in .308 that I'd give my left nut to have back.

| My dad always taught me to never sell guns. That being said, he and I have sold some guns when it was profitable, and then purchased other guns. There are 2 I regret selling. One was a basic Rem 700 in .22-250, it has been replaced by a far superior varmint rifle, but it just had special meaning I guess. The other was a Beretta 682 that had been received a full Briley treatment and won many a sporting clays tournament. I should have retired it to wall hanger status. One that will never be sold is my Sako .270 and the family heirloom, a Remington 3200, custom engraved. |

Red C. Everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion.

| I have only sold a few and regret selling them all aside from one. A Mossberg 20g. pump. I'll never own another Mossberg of any variety. I most regret selling a Marlin/Glenfield model 60 .22. That was the first gun I bought. I don't sell guns anymore unless I buy one for the purpose of turning it.
