I'd say you're done with load development, unless you need a heavier bullet for bigger game. Congratulations on having such a good shooter! My first 9.3x62 was a Husqvarna, and I thought the stock shape contributed to more recoil than expected. Since then I've acquired two others--a Blaser R93 Synthetic and an Oberndorf Mauser "Special African"--and both have lower felt recoil than the Husqvarna.

Quote: You may be right. The straightness of the stock does seem to make sure all the recoil is transfered straight back. The fact that mine , as well as many others I have seen, have a crack at the tang also backs this up. My stock also has a comb addition as the low original comb was nearly impossible to get a good cheek meld on to use the scope. As a FN98 action, I believe the rifle should fit in any K98 type stock with a sporter barrel configuration. I'll see what Richard's Microfit has available. I'll have to keep a classic look of some type of course.
