Factory spec is 3,250 fps. Assume that's from a 24" barrel? Assume 3,300 fps with a 26"

I guess I need to chrony it. I think it's running faster, not slower. It always surprises about how high it shoots even when sighting in with all the right specs, etc.

I thought I read about some guys seeing 100-150 fps more on the Remington 300 RUM factory loads versus the published data.

Well, I can't speak about the 180,s, but I've chronographed the Rem Green box 150 Sciroco's out of a 26" Sendero:

At 55 degrees we averaged 3417 fps.
At 90 degress we averaged 3534 fps.

They would shoot 5 shots in 3/4 inch, and left light ejector marks.

I ran some last year over the chrono and the 180 scirocco were doing 3200 at 15 feet with a 60 degree day. This was fron a standard 26" factory barrel.

Temperature always makes a big difference.

Anyone who says otherwise hasn't done very much chronographing.
