boom stickI would like to put a shoutout to the 358 Gremlin, an adapted 6.5 Grendel case that duplicates the 35 Remington in an AR15.

LHeym500Does nobody shoot the old 35 Winchester Centerfire of 1895 fame?

loud-n-boomerThese three. From top to bottom, a .358 Norma on a 1903 Springfield action, a Browning 1895 rebarreled to .35 Whelen and restocked by Duane Wiebe, and a 1970s-vintage Marlin 336 in .35 Remington.

LHeym500That is a wonderful 35 Whelen 1895 Winchester. President Rosevelt would approve.

I would have to say that my favorite .35 is the .358 Norma . . . . . no wait, it's the .35 Whelen . . . . . or maybe it's the .35 Remington. . . . . then again I've never had a .358 Winchester, so maybe that would be it . . . but the .350 Rigby and the .400/.350 were both cool. . . Oh, crap! It's too hard to decide.

model7LSS Not the sexiest, but means the most to me. 1963 Marlin 336 in .35 Rem. My uncle that taught me to hunt gave it to me as a graduation gift. This was the first buck I had killed in about 17-18 years. Pulled her out this year for a cold morning woods hunt, and piled up a big doe.
