IMO, the reason most sporting rifles don't have extended magazines is they are UGLY and it screws up the carrying balance. And if you're needing some sort of spray and pray weapon, a bolt rifle isn't the answer anyway. Get an AR or one of the other tactiCOOL POSes. They look like shit with or without an extended magazine. I would like to know more about the black bear that was charging from 100 yards away? How far was the other one? BTW, I'd take the .338 only because I didn't have a .458 handy. Aim for the exit hole | |||

This state restricts rifle mags to 5 rounds for hunting. Having a mag with a larger capacity in your possession is unlawful. The other one I discovered: If you're out in the woods with a rifle during an open season and don't have a tag you're unlawful -- so much for target shooting in the woods during elk season, or carrying the rifle for defense. | |||
