Winchester closing out is making it hard for me to get a rifle. I wanted a m70 shadow elite in .308win. But if i dont get it for some reason. What else should i look at in that price range that is similar? I thought a ruger m77 all-weather in .308 would fill in that space. I also thought of savage but, I dont too much care for thier bolt i think it is sluggish. SO any oppinions are gonna be apreciated. Confused

Don't shy away from used rifles. Often times they have been shot VERY little and can be had for a good price.

Ultralight, Kimber and Charles Daly all came back from the dead. Can't see Winchester down for long.

Besides, CDNN will probably end up with a lot of closeout inventory and sell it off cheap. If you don't know who they are, go to http://www.cdnninvestments.com.

There won't be much until the 2006-1 or 2006-2 catalogs, though.

Have a look at the Ruger Ultra Light.
