I have a barreled actioned 8x68.
It is a weatherby MKv action.
In block letters on the left side it says.
SAUER then the cursive weatherby, MK V
The barrel says jp sauer. 25+ inches long, light weight. Simple standing rear sight, banded front sight. Claw mounts, with an extra mount on a barrel band in front of the receiver.
I shot the rifle when it had a stock. It was dished out for a very fat jowled man. It would kick your teeth out.
My pal gave me the thing minus the stock years ago, and I just found it again.
What should I ask for such an odd set-up?
Never cared for 8 MM anything, even though I used an 8x68 in Namibia to good effect one time.

It is an original Weatherby.

Sauer used to make their rifles.

I have a 224 Weatherby Magnum in this make.

Hi,

A late close friend of mine, ex navy officer, had the same Sauer Weatherby Modelo Europa, double set triggers but in 300 Weatherby. Great and very accurate rifle! I shot it many times and the recoil was not a problem.

My buddy has a Sauer Wea in 300 Wea. Ordered in Germany with a longer LOP when he was in the Army.

Brought it back along with a few cookoo clocks.
