The wound is designed to bleed and not close.
Maybe a hybrid spear/bayonet design.

boom having been stuck with one , IMO i would say no, true the wound doesn't close well but it is not much of a hole, when it comes to pigs I like large baldes that slice and make large wounds that bleed out faster, but I have only taken 4 with a knife

Yo Boomie,

the triangular shape dates back to the early periods when men first started fashioning body armor out of metal. The triangular shape, aka "Bodkin" point was found to be most effective in piercing armor at a distance with an arrow.
That said, it is more a design that would penetrate, as opposed to a cutting point.

The hunters here who hunt DG generally go with a standard two-blade tip. It seems to offer the best balance of penetration and maximum amount of cutting surface(s).

Whether knife or spear head you need a blade shape to cut arterys and split organs. Min length 6" if you are sticking them in the heart between the front legs.
