Adapting treestand to pack frame?

I just recieved a Summit Viper treestand which I am farily happy with. If anything it's a bit too big to be easy to carry but it's light enough. This in turn means that you can't carry a daypack unless you strap it to your front, and you must carry your rifle/bow in your hands.

I don't think it would be hard to attatch a backpack to the stand, maybe a rifle would be trickier if you want to have it handy; so I was just looking to find out if anyone has done this yet.

The first thing to do would be upgrade the straps that come with the pack, so does anyone know of a source for good backpack straps?

In MN, I hunt out of a backpack. I load it with a sleeping bag and parka, urine bottles, water, food, etc. Then I bungee cord the stand on the back. I use a quick disconnect to connect my rifle to my pack, and then pull it up to me after I climb the tree. I then use two clips to clip the backpack to my stand, pull out the sleeping bag, etc. I can stay out all day in below zero weather.

Express:

Look at the Greens Treeseat By Trophylineusa.com

They look and feel very akward at first. But as you get use to one you would not hunt out of anything else. It weight 6 ponuds and will fit in your back pack. They have bot a web site and a toll free number . Cabelas is even selling one model. I have bot the older leather model and the new mesh model. I like the mesh one much better. I carry 24, 6" 3/8 grade eight socket cap bolts and a 3/8 ship auger drill bit and a 18 volt cordless drill and go up any tree I want.

I have a summit viper stand, and had the same "problem". I took a cheap walmart carbiner and attached it to the carry strap at the top of the pack. I then ran a double loop of paracord around the "slats" of the stand. I snap the 'biner to the cord, and have an elastic strap running from one side of the stand to the other that holds the body of the pack down (otherwise it will flop or roll off the side of the stand supported only by the carabiner).
I also hook up my carabiner to my rope to pull it into the stand when I am set up.
