Here's my take what I would do:
Bisley Blackhawk $550
Rebarrel to octagonal at 4.75 inches 41 Remington Magnum $750
New 5 shot cylender $500
Mastadon custom grips (by me $100 or by someone else $1500)
Titanium nitrate finish cylender and barrel $150
Color case finish Frame $400
Trigger work, springs, other machinery work $400
Total $2850 to $4250 depending on how much I could do.

The trouble with Mastadon Ivory is that it tends to split and crack unless you have it stabilized.Definatly has a cool factor.I made a Bowie with Blue Mastadon Scales for a customer.Really looks good.

short and fat and hard to get at, hit like a hammer and never been hit back.
