That's a fair group you've got going there Bud. Have you tried any other bullets, or are you going to stick with the 325 grain LBT?

So far I have shot in the .45LC Bisley Hunter

320gr.CPB LBT 21gr H110 Accurate 1 1/2" 50 yds
335gr.CPB LBT 21gr H110 Accurate 2" 50 yds
320gr.Montana Bullet Works 21gr H110 Very Accurate 1 1/4" 50 yds [Check there web page great prices on true Smith LBT mold Bullets]
250gr.XTP 24 gr. H110 very good 2" 50 yds

All I have done to the gun so far is put Belt Mountain Base pin in,2-6 B&L scope- thinking about having the throats opened to 452.5

I'd suggest you shoot the revolver some more before messing with the throats on it. It's doing fine with the modifications you have made already. I'd just run it awhile.

I'm waiting on the brown truck to drop off some CP bullets for my Linebaugh. Got a bunch of FA bullets left over from an Africa trip and I'm using those and some of the 300 grain LFNGC in the Casulls.

I haven't bought any Montana bullets yet. Have you tried any Mt. Baldy bullets?

I'm shooting a 300 grn cast w/gas check with 21.5 grns of H110 and reg large pistol primer.
This load shoots from my Super Blackhawk and my Super Blackhawk Hunter in the 45LC.
I have shot some 2" groups with the first load I tried.
Works very good on hogs I have shot in the 100-150lb range. Will be using it for my doe tag this week. I have open sights on my Blackhawk and a 2x6 Simmons on the Hunter.
This pistol also likes the 320grn cast that is loaded by the Buffalo Bore ammumition company for Rugers only.

I use the 335 gr and 21.5 grs of 296. I have shot many 1" and less groups at 50 yd's. Can't do it all the time, but enough times to impress me. Maybe if I weighed my boolits and quit loading cases 20 to 40 times!
If you have not tried 296, please do. Some Rugers hate H110 for some reason.

You also need to hold your mouth "just right"; that seems to help also. How are you doing bfr?

MS, doing good. Gun season opened yesterday and I did not see a single deer to lay out with my .475. I bounced a lot out of their beds walking out. They are moving in the middle of the day and at night due to the moon position or something. We seen deer in the distance come out at 11 AM to feed. It poured all night and is still raining now.
A fox dug under the chicken coop fence and killed 16 chickens. I set up a pop up blind near the coop so I could try to get the fox and also a deer but was just too tired to go this morning. Old age ya know! I got two deer with the bow so I am set for meat. I have neighbors that need deer though.

You're doing well so far. Just keep a dab of oil on the nose of the cylinder and your revolver should last forever.

325 LFN/21/H110 is a pet load of mine. I killed a blacktail with it several years ago. I've got some 255 LBT WFN's and some 340 LFNGC's from Beartooth that I'd let go at a fair price if you want them.

Okie John, How many of the Beartooth bullets do you have and how much. I was just on their site looking at bullets to purchase for my 45LC Ruger SBHHunter.

I am in Tucson (Pima Pistol Club) part of the year. I have not gone to the 325 grain handloads as for my purposes I find them a bit hot to handle. Loads I have used in my Bisley Blackhawk 5.5" are as follows:

270 gr Leadheads Keith style
19.5 gr 2400
WLP primer
1270 fps

250 gr Hornady XTP 17.5 gr VVN110
WLP Primer
1015 fps

I have also shot the Buffalo Bore loads in 300 and 325. The 325 were not fun to shoot, the 300's were fine.

Yupo, I've got one too. I'm getting comaprable groups (6 shots) using the 265 Cast Core and the 335 Cast Core using 2400 and W296 over 155 primers.

I've also had exception accuracy with the 240 and 250 Hornady (just under an inch @ 50) with 2400 and, oddly, Alliant STEEL.
