I had a Reeder 4" Revolver SA in 500 Smith and it looked and performed well!...But,I agree about jack huntington also! he is Great and his machine work is impeccable! He has done 3 Big Custom revolvers for me,no complaints at all...really unique stuff too...A 500JRH Redhawk with 2.5" barrel,40 ounces pushing 420 cast at 1250...2) BFR's recylindered to 50/110 pushing 600 Woodleighs easily to 1400+..Custom Octagon barrels with milled in bands,etc..Give him a call to if you want something Really different!

gunboot, go talk to Jack Huntington. He also builds custom revolvers, and from what I understand, his shop produces nice custom rifles as well. He's converting my SRH in .480 to a .475 Linebaugh. I too am a fan of the .480 but wanted the option of shooting heavier bullets.

I've seen some of Reeder's work and it looks to me like it's of a high quality.

SAFARIKID, how do you like the .500 JRH? I am debating having Jack Huntington build one for me on an SRH. What loads do you use in it?

Here is my Reeder 5-shot Ruger birdhead Bisley. It is very accurate and has 5 Whitetail deer under it's belt.

Whitworth, I've been hunting with it for four or five years and love the way it handles, for me, with the modified grip. Recently I've installed the ORH rear sight and it has made it a very fast on target short range revolver. I've taken deer, fox and rabbit with it. It is one of my favorite handguns...RW

A Ruger BH stoked with Grizzly or Buffalo Bore ammo is plenty potent for Elk or Deer. One of my friends bought a Ruger BH with a 4 5/8" barrel in 45lc added Hogue Rubber grips then bought Buffalo Bore ammo,he dropped a running cow elk at 65 yards with a shot to her head on a hunt in Idaho.

Whitworth, I have an older gentleman who casts me a 290 grain flat point gas checked bullet from a Lyman #454629 mold. He size it .4525 and uses 3/4 Linotype and alox lube. I load this over a heavy dose of Win 296 for around 1450 fps out of the 5" 5-shot 45 Colt. It is the most accurate with plenty of power in this handgun so far.

Just today I picked up a different style bullet to try from this gentleman. Sized the same, same weight, with gas check, alox lube and 3/4 Linotyp. But this bullet is from a SAECO #454 mold and is a SWC style. We will see this season how it works hopefully.

The Hunter Supply 275 grain FP is very similar to the Lyman bullet and shoots almost as well at around the same velocity or slightly higher. I've also taken game with the Speer 260 grain HP at around 1600 fps and the CPBC 335 grain LBTWFN at 1400 fps (my choice for bear/moose/elk).

For all these bullets used in hunting loads I use Starline brass and either WW296 or H110...RW

earlier in this post someone complained about pornography on Reeder's site.

For those who didn't believe it here is a link

http://disc.yourwebapps.com/discussion.cgi?disc=183178;...eder%20Custom%20Guns

I found this today on "ask reeder" discussion board. Here is another

http://disc.yourwebapps.com/discussion.cgi?disc=183178;...eder%20Custom%20Guns

This is not the first time I've run across this stuff on his site.
I'm not saying I'm for or against, only that it is there from time to time.
