Yes, Happy Birthday and I hope you enjoy it. Good luck with any hunting you do with it.

If ignorance is bliss; there are some blissful sonofaguns around here. We know who you are, so no reason to point yourselves out.

Great B-Day present.

Now all you need is to get a Power Custom hammer, trigger, and spring kit and you'll have one helluva six shooter.

Oh nuts, another piece of junk Ruger. You will play heck getting less then 1/2" groups at 50 yards unless you spend big bucks on all the stuff you don't need! jumping
Yup, I am at it again.
If you lived close I would put a 2# trigger with zero creep on it FREE.
Really, it is a fine gun, don't spend money on what is not needed. All a Ruger needs is a trigger job and anyone can do that without changing any springs.

Thanks fella's! I get to pick it up hopefully next week that's the good thing about layaway.
Whitworth, I hope to shoot it soon after I get it
picked up. This may be the one I send to Jack.
I can do some of the customizing myself as I
did on my 480.
Funny thing is I had no intention of buying
another gun Sunday just went to the outfitters
to buy some reloading "thingy's" and next thing
I know the sales guy just happens to bring this
out of the display and just couldn't pass it up.

Didn't have one in 45LC or 41mag so I opted for the 44 instead.

BFR: Agree on a trigger job. I added a Belt Mountain base pin to my 10 1/2-incher.
What is your view on fire lapping to remove barrel constrictions where the barrel is screwed into the frame? A friend with a set of pin gauges says this is a common issue in many of the Ruger single actions.
By the way, I just bought a pound of the new Alliant 300 MP magnum pistol powder and am quite impressed with early trials in the .44.

I would slug the barrel, and you will know if there are any constrictions, before fire lapping. My 2 cents OB
