I am kinda cerious what some of you in AR land would think of this..??? I have a Nice Dan wesson 44 Mg with a 8" barrle and I only shoot it in single action... I would think after fiering it off at a deer if i missed for some reson that thing would be gone and may not get a second shot...... SO I was thinking a Thopson Center Encore would be nice becose of the differant barrles I can get like .357 mag wich i have a crap ton of brass for and .260 Rem as well... and 44 Rem Mag... What would you guys say ?? what would you do ????

I at one time owned 5 frames and 15 barrels for the Contender; to say I like T/C guns would be an understatment BUT no I woulden't. I traded my very first Dan Wesson .445Super for my first Contender. It took me ten years to get that gun back. Granddaughter #1 owns it now and All the Contenders but one are gone. Love Those .41s'

Me too. I would be inclined to keep the Dan Wesson, personally. "Ignorance you can correct, you can't fix stupid." JWP If stupidity hurt, a lot of people would be walking around screaming. Semper Fidelis "Building Carpal Tunnel one round at a time"

Another vote for the DW.IMO it's not a matter of revolver v/s single shot but value. The DWs hold there value and usually aren't cheap, and are getting harder to find(in my area). "If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' someone else's dog around" unknown cowboy

Dan Wessons have been my most accurate handguns. You are going to have to stick money in an Encore to get best accuracy.Trigger job,Hinge pin should do it.Mike Belm has kits for doing the trigger, about $75 if you buy the stone and instruction book plus spring kit.EA Browns Accuracy hinge pin is $48.00.Much better than forceing an over size pin in.The difference is well worth the money.I imagine Wolf makes a spring kit for your Dan Wesson.Me I would keep it and buy a Encore down the road.
