Just bought a Taurus "Judge" ...How strong is the frame?
Bought one for snakes as I live on the marsh..I do have some Hefty 45LC loads and was wondering if I could use them occasionally in this stainless 6" Double action? Thanks! patriot

My brother-in-law has one. We were wondering if it could handle hotrod loads....We found out it can't. It won't handle the preasures.

Would love to hear the details. Care to share them? Please?

I would be tempted to make a 410 gauge from hell using 9,3x74 brass. Top off a 2" case with a 45 cal bullet.

Safarikid-

Did you ever hear of Ham Bowen's work with Paradox Revolvers?
I don't have a link to an article or anything like that, but some time in the mid-90s I'd heard of this and was about a redhair from having him build me a paradox rig.

I'm surprised you haven't had something of this sort built for yourself.
Do consider this, paradox guns run high velocities and low pressures - due to the very long 'freebore' trip from case to rifled choke.
They also can pattern very very well and skip the bullshit 'no cartridge hand-shotgun' rules via having rifling at the muzzle.

I hope I've given you something to think about here...

I know the factory says no , but several guys in the Tok area got them and were shooting 300 gr Buffalo Bore in theirs , I said shooting but that is the wrong term .. They had run a cylinder full thru to make sure it worked , then just put a cylinder full in for bear protection .. But they enjoyed the 410 part for grouse , Handy for halibut also ....................................

SAFARIKID... it wont be hard... people have used 9,3x74 brass to make shotgun shells before but there would be something cool about cutting it to 2" and topping it off with a crimped 45 bullet to get low preasure Cassul plus performance.

That would make a Hell of a Jury for that judge Big Grin
