Bought one Friday and I'm pleased as punch. Initial reactions: 1. Appearance is wonderful if you like the 1911 A-1. A near perfect copy scaled down to 22 LR size. It is NOT a 22 LR in a full size replica: 2. The trigger is a bit hard like most over-the-counter semi auto pistols but it might lighten up after a few hundred rounds. Worst case a good smith can clean it up. There is a little take-up and then a very clean break, though. No creep at all. 3. Very accurate considering A-1 sights and the trigger. Hitting a Coke can 10 out of 10 at 20 yards was not hard. I was shooting Remington bulk ammo. It might be even better with match ammo. 4. A bit expensive compared to Umarex and other full size copies (about $100 more) but the fit and finish is up to Browning specs. The slide and frame are aluminum, not cast pot metal. Take down is identical to a 45 cal 1911, barrel bushing and all. But it is a true blow-back, not a locked breech. All in all a great little gun! That's very nice! "Ignorance you can correct, you can't fix stupid." JWP If stupidity hurt, a lot of people would be walking around screaming. Semper Fidelis "Building Carpal Tunnel one round at a time" | |||
